Wax in Styrene Solution high temperature film water for water-based)Wax Solution is a paraffin wax dissolved in styrene used as a surface sealing additive for polyester and vinyl ester resin systems. When added to laminating resin or gelcoat, the wax migrates to the surface during curing to form an air barrier. This prevents oxygen inhibition and allows the resin to fully cure to a hard, tack free finish. Wax in styrene is commonly used when applying finishing layers of polyester resin or flowcoat in fibreglass
