Manuel Maria Gonzalez Angel, founder of Gonzlez Byass, named Tio Pepe after his Uncle Joe who created his pale very dry white wine in 1841. GonzlezByass was the first Sherry winery to export the fino style back in 1844 when they sent casks of this local style to the UK. Tio Pepe was the first
