Great Britain SG 171 Cover 1881 hand illustrated envelope from London to Brighton with Grenadier Guardsman new-edition stamps two and three tête-bêcheIllustrated Envelopes. 1881 (OC 10) hand drawn and coloured cover to Brighton, franked by 1881 1d pale lilac (die I), tied by 'LONDON N. W N. W 17' duplex with Brighton backstamp for the same day. Trivial surface marks still a fine and neat cover, depicting a Grenadier Guardsman playing a snare drum and sporting an over sized bearskin hat, inside of which is placed the stamp. Most unusual.
