potpourri and exotic spices

The palate full of orchard fruit and soft baking spices and a lovely salinity

Wonderfully inviting dark-red fruit

Textured on the palate with silky tannins enveloping the fruit through to a long

which overlies Tertiary clay

Joseph Drouhin, Gevrey Chambertin Clos Prieur 1er Cru 2017 Zagorje potpourri and exotic spicesThe 2017 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is completely de stemmed and matures in 80% new oak. It has an expressive and aromatic bouquet with pretty blueberry, raspberry and iodine aromas that burst from the glass. The palate is medium bodied with fine tannin, very effervescent from the start with vivid red and black fruit infused with orange zest and light fig notes. Very fine. Neal Martin Vinous (94)
