The Sentinel food family and associatesIn this oil painting, a Sacred Kingfisher perches atop an intricately decorated chinoiserie vase, the bird's vibrant turquoise feathers contrasting with the delicate blooms it guards. The vase, a vessel of global beauty, holds an eclectic mix of flowers from around the world, with many Australian favourites. This composition sees the Kingfisher overseeing the diversity of the floral arrangement, exploring themes of protection, peace, and unity.
