AW 1913 Sampler French Sampler I have two Welsh SamplersNot as old as many samplers, but no less beautiful. AW must have worked from the same pattern book as LZ. Both have a touch of art deco and are redwork samplers. AW interestingly crochet around the edge of her sampler to "hem" it. I decided to have AW stitched with an over dyed brown cotton thread called Blackbird by Classic Colorworks. The fabric is 32ct smokey white Belfast linen. This makes her 7. 5 x 8. 5 inches.
