How did this lovely Victorian locket travel through time from Newark, New Jersey to Southern France? The back is inscribed "To N. King from her Newark friends 1879". We wonder if the locket was a parting gift before Ms. King traveled away from home to start a new life across the sea. The locket features a very lovely starburst design on the front, with set seed pearls, and framed with dark blue enamel. One of the seed pearls
