The 2014 vintage has more structure
An equally cool and restrained nose reflects discreet spice nuances
As was often the case when this wine was part of the Domaine Ponsot portfolio
and the 2022 Hermitage is a superb rendition
Unconsumed tasting wines cannot be served during dinner
Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Grand Maupertui 2022 Portugal The 2014 vintage has more95 97 Points Vinous, Neal Martin The 2002 Clos de Vougeot le Grand Maupertui Grand Cru, which comes from vines born in 1904, is endowed with darker fruit than the Grands Echzeaux. Well defined, maybe a little opulent in style, yet still controlled. The palate is well endowed with dark berry fruit, more black than red, pain d'pice and white pepper. Theres plenty of substance and grip towards the finish. But it is always elegant and deserves 10 12 years
