Atlas Coffee Table Serveware Its ceramic base is toppedThe New Works Atlas Coffee Table reads as a piece of architecture in miniature, a thick horizontal plane resting on broad, block like legs. Its post and lintel construction, borrowed from porticoes and colonnades, scales each size and material to its own proportions rather than a single fixed template. John Astbury designed the piece for New Works in 2023, naming it Atlas after the Titan condemned to hold up the heavens.
