22x90 Original, One of a Kind Hand Painted Iris Shawl Charmeuse 11"x60" Silk Charmeuse 19Starting with a 22x90" silk satin WHITE shawl, this piece has over 45 layers of dye applied in order to create deep rich colors. The silk starts out white, a few layers of dye that is lavender is applied to the silk before starting the design. The irises are then drawn freehand using a water based wax resist to create the design. Once the irises are drawn, the area outside of the irises is painted with a very light yellow dye and then several layers
