The rod weighs 3 3/8 oz and the action is medium to medium fast with a slightly parabolic feel

Serial #2478 with a marked weight of 2 5/8 oz

This is one of Paul's early rods and feels great in hand

so there is unfortunately some risk here that they may not hold up to prolonged use

Later enamel model this reel is in fine lightly used condition with some minor enamel loss in places and a few marks on the winding plate. Unblemished agate lineguard and a smooth alloy foot with an ebonite handle. The tensioner works great and the reel is smooth and tight mechanically. The reel comes in the original black vinyl case. A fine example of a true LHW later model perfect.
