Snowy Owl — Gallery Canvas Print Size:10.5" x 14" the lichen-covered tundra rock belowA Snowy Owl launches from a lichen covered rock wings spread to their full span, filling the upper half of the canvas, the yellow eyes fixed directly on the viewer. This 1982 watercolour is one of Glen's most dramatic and formally bold compositions: the white owl against a pale winter sky, distinguishable only by its feather texture and the shadows within the wing, the lichen covered tundra rock below providing the only warm colour in the painting.
