Tensioner works great. Ebonite handle spins freely. Good spool spindle fit. The agate guide is free of cracks. Comes with Hardy box and zippered case. The line guide is oriented for right hand retrieve but this reel can also be fished as left hand retrieve without utilizing the line guide.
