Waterfowl fill the sky during the last few minutes of daylight

canoe-only accessible waters and dense forest in Ontario

They do such great work there at the Fish and Wildlife Service and it just shows the how much of a positive impact the duck stamp program has on our lands

As a result my love has grown over the years for these wild and vastly connected waterways that cover so much of those regions

I set out to capture all of that into this painting in the most unique way possible

Later on, I had discovered another ranch with a creek flowing through the yard which inspired the foreground. I wanted this painting to depict the peacefulness and beauty of the valleys near where I live. I never knew how much waterfowl Western Montana had, particularly Mallards. They fill the ponds and rivers
