Consider its card type, any effect that affects when you could cast it (such as flash) and any other effects that could stop you from casting it (such as Meddling Mage's effect) to determine if and when you can do this

This is the best landfall card in the set, and as a 3 drop you can benefit from it for many turns, especially if your opponent is not packing enchantment removal

You can pay five mana and your whole Elf army gets +3/+3 and trample until the end of turn, a classic overrun that ends games out of nowhere
