For regular upgrades I highly recommend: Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives, Eerie Ultimatum, and you can also run the Cat Oven combo with Cauldron Familiar + Witch's Oven + Clock of Omens, and there's the Ballista Combo Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista, and finally the Exquisite Blood Combo since the deck already runs the other piece Sanguine Bond One Down, Three to Go

While almost exclusively a combo card it is fairly broad in the way that you can use it in that role

For a more complicated plan (which involves first turning a planeswalker into a creature), if we can get it attached to a planeswalker, well still be able to activate its loyalty abilities

All three modes of this card are perfectly acceptable in a wide range of Commander decks

One of the best cards for this is Leafkin Avenger, which lets you gain mana for each creature you control that has power four or higher, and use that mana to remove creatures or planeswalkers
